Did you ever think it was possible to grow taller stretching? It is. By doing some simple stretches once or twice each day, it is possible to add as many as 3 inches to your height! The benefits of stretching are not just temporary. Stretching exercises can permanently stretch your body when done correctly, as well as stimulate HGH, or Human Growth Hormone, which increases and strengthens the cartilage between your bones, making you taller. Other added benefits include increased flexibility and muscle tone.
Yoga stretches are very effective for people wishing to be taller. There are many stretches that help, but it is best to start out very basic, then add more stretches from there. Here are 5 yoga stretches to help you get started grow taller stretching.
1) Shoulder Shrugs – are a fairly self-explanatory exercise. Simply shrug your shoulders as far as they will go, hold them there for a few seconds, then release. A good variation is to rotate your shoulders forward a few times, then backward for a few seconds.
2) Basic Leg Stretch – When you either sit or stand with your legs wide apart, and alternate stretching, with your arms reaching toward your toe, as far as you can down toward each foot.
3) Wall Stretch – Stand on your toes, with your back against a wall, and reach forward with your arms outstretched as far as you can, keeping your back straight and shoulders against the wall.
4) Cat – Another way to grow taller stretching is to do the cat, you have to get on the floor in a crawling position and arch and retract your back much like a cat would.
5) Cobra – Start the cobra lying face down on the floor. Push your upper body off the floor with your hands placed shoulder width apart, looking up and stretching your chin toward the sky.
6) Back Stretch - Stand with your feet placed shoulder width apart, lean slightly forward and clasp your hands behind your back. Try to raise your hands as far as you can, and hold the stretch.
7) Hanging Stretch – This is another stretch that is exactly what it sounds like it is. In order to do this stretch, you must have a horizontal bar to hang upside down from. Hang for 5 or 10 minutes at a time, but never longer than that.
These are just a few of the stretches one can do in order to try and increase their height. Grow taller stretching can be done as many as 2 or 3 times a day, and the benefits increase along with the frequency.
